A 2-week analysis of www.myhome.ie (completed at start the week which will see the Irish General Election) has uncovered what appears to be a strong indication that some vendors are adopting a ‘wait and see’ attitude.
387 drops have been detected, which is about half the average number of price drops that have been detected in previous fortnightly reports. The report is here.
The most noticable drop is a 26% asking price reduction in Leitrim, and the report includes several large reductions throughout the country. At the ‘trophy home’ end of the spectrum, there has been an almost 17% drop in the asking price of property located on Nutley Lane, D4.

A 2-week analysis of www.myhome.ie has uncovered 611 Price Drops, the report is here.
With the astounding level of both media & political party hype directed at the issue of Stamp duty in recent weeks, I had suspected perhaps more of a slowdown in the number of drops detected. Perhaps the next report will show this trend more strongly.
The report includes asking price drops of the order of 30% in both Cork & Wexford, while several 20%+ cuts are located around the country.
I don’t have time to give this report anything other than the most cursory of looks, so any reader contributions to confirm/reject drops with the google cache etc would be particularly welcome.
