Time on the Market & Houses for Sale
November 22, 2007We have used the CSO statistics for the number of houses in each county to help compile the latest analysis.
Leitrim currently tops the list with nearly 8.7% of all houses in the county for sale at the moment.
Roscommon is the slowest market at the moment with houses on the market for an average of 130 days.
Daft Inventory – Some Stats
November 19, 2007We intend to start providing some summary stats on Daft inventory.
All Stats as of the 9th of November.
There are currently just over 50,000 properties listed on Daft as of the 9th of November.
Over 8,300 have reduced the price at least once (16% or 1 in 6 properties. Up from 1 in 10 in September)
There have been 19,000 cases of price reductions (some properties reduced their price more than once)
Based on the latest sales/withdrawals there is 1 year 5 months supply on the market. Assuming no new properties are listed
The average time on the market is 110 days, just less than 4 months.
25% have been on the market since March.
Daft – All Price Reductions
November 14, 2007We have gone through all the data on Daft since mid March 2007 have compiled a list of all properties that have reduced the price up to and including the 9th of November 2007.
In total 8,340 properties have reduced their price and are still listed on Daft (out of a total of approximately 51,000 properties currently listed).
1 property has had to reduce the price 7 times, 4 properties have reduced the price 6 times while 10 properties have had to reduce the price 5 times.
Due to the number of properties the size of the html file is too large (14MB) to post at the moment.
We will only be able to post the complete data set in excel format and a sub-set in html format (4 or more reductions).
If there is demand we can publish the rest of the data in html format in smaller more manageable files at a later stage.
